These are Pictures of Marion Pierce and his descendants. Marion and his three brothers were in the Civil War. After being released from the Civil War he went back to Arkansas where he farmed for several years then in the mid 1880s he moved his family to the Lamar County Texas on the Blossom Prarie. He remained there for the rest of his life. His brother, Joseph, who lost an arm at Kennesaw Mountain Georgia was living with him when he died February 13, 1913. He and Marion both are buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Lamar County near the small town of Novice, Texas.
