Jeptha Sterling Armstrong, the second older son of Jeptha Daniel Armstrong and Judith S. Williams. Jeptha went to Texas, in the early 1880s and never returned. He was in Montague County Texas when the 1900 census was enumerated with a family. He married Nancy Emmen Felton and had a large family.
